Comparing Assessment Methodologies for Free/Open Source
Jean Christophe Deprez, the Qualoss project coordinator, and his colleague, Simon Alexandre, have just published an scientific article about comparing assessment methodologies.

3 research projects investigating open source software quality launch a join portal
Flossquality.eu is an initiative of 3 EU research projects : Qualoss, Flossmetrics and SQO-OSS. It demonstrate the strong collaboration between the actors of the 3 projects. The expected benefit is to ease the access to information by disseminating news by joint RSS feed.
Fraunhofer IESE Participating in European Open Source Quality Offensive
As one of eight consortium partners, Fraunhofer IESE provides support for the European project QualOSS – Quality of Open Source Software. Its subject is a quality evaluation system for Open Source software. It includes a methodology that has been exhaustively validated empirically, as well as appropriate tools for automated quality evaluation. The project has an overall volume of almost 3 million euros and is initially scheduled to run until 31 March 2009.
Plone sprint in Sorrento, Italy
The next Plone sprint will take place in Sorrento (Naples, Italy), from March 27 to April 2. With 64 participants from 14 countries it is probably the biggest Plone sprint ever to take place in Italy.
2nd International Workshop on Public Data about Software Development (WoPDaSD 2007)
A workshop to foster the analysis of public available data sources about software development and the exchange of data between different research groups will be held on OSS Conference in Limerick, June 14th 2007.
