PEPITe S.A. is a Belgian company founded in September 2002. It is as a spin-off of the University of Liège in Belgium. The software environment PEPITo® and the founding team come from the Machine Learning Laboratory. The algorithms and the software were initially designed by Professor Louis WEHENKEL during his research in artificial intelligence applied to electrical power systems.

The environment currently commercialized by PEPITe brings together more than 15 years of development and experience in applied Data Mining technology. It was used as a key component for many scientific researches but also for industrial developments.

Today, the University of Liège still plays an important role as their activities in education and research complement ideally the commercial focus of PEPITe. We are providing the MLLab
researchers with challenging topics while, at PEPITe, we are making continuous efforts to convert these innovative technologies into industrial solutions for the benefits of our customers.

PEPITe offers its customers innovative data mining tools to extract quickly process improvement actions from the process historian. These improvement actions will typically allow to:

• Accelerate the set-up time thanks to an objective and automatic identification of manufacturing rules and recipes
• Increase the efficiency of the assets with an easy identification of weaknesses and root causes of failures
• Reduce the operational risks thanks to a rational identification of better operating points for the equipment and for the process
